Black and white

Wanting love
Lying alone in the dark
Finding peace
Owes more to faith
Than to light
Search out the comforting and warm
Somewhere a place that’s filled with colour
And with form not black and white

Whispered words
Only get lost in the dark
Seeking sense
Is this the reason I write?
I’d share the colours that I’ve found
But my frustration is at how to
Put them down
In black and white

Think it through
Don’t try to run in the dark
Face to face
Each has their own
Left and right
Draw back consider what you’ve seen
But please remember there are colours
In between black and white
