The twins are here!

The twins were born on 30th November, but I've been too busy to post anything about it until now. So I'll just leave a video of them some days after we arrived home. Pedro is the one in blue and Mario the one in yellow. Aren't they cute!?

3D scan

Hi to those who read.

I had a 3D scan two weeks ago and I thought you'd like to see it. It's one of the babies with his brother's feet on his head. It's amazing what science can do nowadays.

Hope you are enjoying the course.

Bye

Hi lovely people,

This year I won't be anybody's teacher. I still have two months ahead until the babies are born, but I'm having some problems with my back and I'll be off work all the academic year. Oh well Triste

I don't think I'll write much here either, because sitting for long is really uncomfortable for me. However, if you need me for anything, or you just want to chat, you can use my email addresses. I'll be happy to know from you.

Have a good time and enjoy English,

Isabel xx

My pleasure

 Hi,

I just wanted to thank the students of the intensive course (July 2007) their attendance and their patience. It was a real pleasure to meet you all and I hope we do meet again.

Oh, and as I promised to informe you, the two babies I'm expecting are two boys! Their names will probably be Pedro and Mario.

I've put up a song about the summer, sung by Joe Cocker, and here are the lyrircs. It's for those who stay, like me, instead of going to beaches and abroad Decepcionado There is some hope for most of you according to the song...But pregnant women have it more difficult Lengua fuera Hope you like it and I wish you a wonderful summer holiday.

Summer in the City

Hot town summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirt and gritty
Been down, isn't it a pity
Doesn't see
m to be a shadow in the city
All around people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk hotter than a match head

But at night it's a different world
Go out and find a girl
Come on, come on and dance all night
Despite the heat it will be alright
And babe, don't you know it's a pity
The days can't be like the night
In the summer in the city
In the summer in the city

Cool town, evening in the city
Dressed so fine and looking so pritty
Cool cat lookin for a kitty
Gonna look in every corner of the city
Till I'm weezin like a bus stop
Running up the stairs gonna meet ya on the roof top

But at night it's a different world
Go out and find a girl
Come on, come on lets dance all night
Despite the heat it will be alright
And babe, don't you know it's a pity
The days can't be like the night
In the summer in the city
In the summer in the city

Solo

But at night it's a different world
Go out and find a girl
Come on, come on lets dance all night
Despite the heatit will be alright
And babe don't you know it's a pity
The days can't be like the night
In the summer in the city
In the summer in the city

Hot town summer in the city

Cool town, evening in the city

War of Sexes

I thought you would enjoy this:

Words Women Use (and their meaning)

Fine
This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

Five Minutes
If she is getting dressed, this is half an hour (30) Minutes. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

Nothing
This is the calm before the storm. This means "something" and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with "nothing" usually end in "fine".

Go Ahead
This is a dare, not permission, DON'T DO IT!

Loud Sigh
Although not actually a word, the loud sigh is often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing".

That's Okay
This is one of the most dangerous statements that woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

Thanks
This is the least used of all words in the female vocabulary. If a woman is thanking you. Do not question it, just say you're welcome and back out of the room slowly.
